Efektivitas Model Discovery Learning Berbasis Media Menonton dalam Meningkatkan Berpikir Kritis dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia (MPBKM)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas model Discovery Learning berbasis media menonton dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kandanghaur yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, angket, tes pre-test dan post-test, serta dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas angket motivasi belajar, lembar observasi keterlibatan, dan soal kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil validasi oleh ahli menunjukkan media layak digunakan, dengan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 96% dan efektivitas sebesar 84,64%. Analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,45 (kategori sedang). Sebanyak 45% siswa sangat terlibat dalam pembelajaran, 40% cukup terlibat, dan 15% mengalami kesulitan adaptasi teknologi. Tantangan yang ditemukan meliputi manajemen waktu, kesiapan digital, dan kendala teknis. Secara keseluruhan, model ini efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian merekomendasikan peningkatan literasi digital dan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih terstruktur untuk mendukung keberhasilan implementasi media di era digital.
