Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali konsep pendidikan multikultural yang terkandung dalam budaya panen lontar menurut adat orang Rote untuk diintegrasikan kedalam kurikulum pendidikan formal di sekolah menegah atas. Metode yang digunakan adalah etnografi melalui prosedur penelitian kualitatif. Kebaharuan dari penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan praktis nilai-nilai multikultural pada budaya panen lontar dalam pendidikan multikultural melalui bahan ajar yang diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum pembelajaran sejarah di Sekolah Menegah Atas, Penelitian ini juga memberikan penafsiran nilai moral dalam syair adat terkait lontar dan menjadikannya sebagai sumber belajar untuk guru, yang belum banyak dikaji dalam penelitian terdahulu, menjadikan penelitian ini sebagai kontribusi untuk pengembangan pendidikan multikultural berbasis budaya lokal di Indonesia. Temuan penelitian menujukan bahwa terdapat nilai- nilai multikultral dalam budaya lokal panen lontar yang dapat jadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran multikultural oleh guru di dalam kelas.
