Bagaimana Buku Suplemen IPA Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Sekolah Dasar?

Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting dalam era modern, terutama di Kalimantan Selatan yang menghadapi tantangan pendidikan pascapandemi. Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas buku suplemen IPA berbasis kearifan lokal Kalimantan Selatan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Dengan desain quasi-eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol nonekuivalen, penelitian ini melibatkan 57 siswa dari tiga sekolah negeri di Kabupaten Banjar. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan buku suplemen, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan buku teks standar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan buku berbasis kearifan lokal dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi elemen budaya lokal dalam bahan ajar efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan membuat pembelajaran lebih relevan serta bermakna.
